Designed by American William Mitchell in 1974, Quinta do Lago hosted the European Tour Algarve Portuguese Open in 2001. Many Tour players rate this as one of their favourite courses as you can hit the green in regulation in several ways. However there is always one easy route and the player who follows this has the key to a low score.
The course follows two anti-clockwise loops of nine, with the front nine favouring a draw and the back nine a fade.Watch out for the water on holes 3, 15 (pictured) and 18 and make your score when you have a chance for birdie at 2,3,5,12,13 and 17.
