The Duke's Course, St Andrews, Scotland

The Duke’s Course is the first and only parkland golf course in St Andrews. Owned and managed by the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, it opened in July 1995 and is affectionately known by club members and locals as The Duke’s, not least because HRH The Duke of York played the inaugural tee shot.

Duke’s is situated two miles inland in the 330 luxuriant acres of Craigtoun Park offering breathtaking panoramic views of the town and bay of St Andrews and the vast sandy beaches of the coastline.

Designed by five-times Open Champion, Peter Thomson, it measures 7271 yards from the back tees and offers a versatile and challenging par 72, 18 holes of championship play. The forward tees will appeal to golfers of varied abilities, allowing you to appreciate the countryside while enjoying the distinct character and challenge presented by each hole. The perfect counterpoint to the town’s many links courses.

The Duke's Course Clubhouse, positioned in a secluded copse above the Ice House and Craigtoun greens, is designed to the luxurious standards you would expect of an international five-star Resort and facilities include locker rooms, bar and restaurant, private dining room and Pro Shop (where golf clubs, shoes and buggies can be hired).
