The 7,100 yards long, par 72 PGA Centenary course at Gleneagles hosts this event for the ninth time. The course, though not too tight off the tee, punishes wayward shots severely. However players who can hit the ball long and straight have a real edge here. With Ryder Cup points very much at stake the quality of the field this week is relatively strong.

OUTRIGHT: Graeme McDowell 1pt win or place 25/1

McDowell has enjoyed an excellent 2008 season with two wins and numerous top ten finishes, easily securing his Ryder Cup slot on merit. Buoyed by those factors as well as a recent top twenty finish in The USPGA he may be a formidable prospect this week at Gleneagles where he has already recorded a runner-up finish in 2004.

OUTRIGHT: Raphael Jacquelin 1pt win or place 50/1

Jacquelin has few peers in terms of course form this week having already recorded three top ten finishes in nine years. He arrives here in decent nick on the back of a top ten in The SAS Masters two weeks ago followed by a fast finishing top thirty place last week in Holland.

The 7,400 yards long TPC Boston plays host to this event, the second in The FedEx Cup series, for the sixth time. Not too surprisingly long hitters have tended to dominate in the winners circle.

OUTRIGHT: Camillo Villegas 1pt win or place 50/1

Villegas has played exceptional golf over the summer months even managing to challenge for the Open at Birkdale. So he should arrive at this course which suits his long hitting game (his course form is 12th 04, 9T 07) in a positive frame of mind.

OUTRIGHT: Bubba Watson 1pt win or place 125/1

There are none longer than Watson on Tour so it is not too surprising that he has already recorded a top fifteen place here in 2006. A top fifteen finish on the tough Ridgewood CC course last week in New York provides some encouragement and the odds appeal.
